NOM-016-SCFI-1993

Electronic Devices – Electronic devices for office use and powered by various electrical power sources – safety requirements and test methods.

Applies to electronic and electromechanical devices used in offices and schools and used for the performance of various tasks specific to those settings.

It is considered as such devices:

• Electronic typewriters

• Copying and/or duplicating machines for document reproduction

• Electronic calculators

• Electronic whiteboards

• Fax machines

• Electronic pencil sharpeners and other devices for office and school use.

This Standard applies to both domestically manufactured and imported products.
