Children’s Products – Operation of Playpens and Enclosures – Specifications and Test Methods.
Establishes the safety specifications and test methods that playpens and/or enclosures for infants must meet during normal use, as well as the labeling requirements they must meet during marketing in the national territory.

Playpen:
A piece of furniture that can contain a child up to a maximum height of 89 cm or a maximum weight of 14 kg, and whose base is separated from the floor.

Enclosure:
A piece of furniture that can contain a child up to a maximum height of 89 cm and that has no base or is attached to the floor.

Products are classified in different ways, such as:

• Circular shape

• Rectangular shape

• Hexagonal shape

• Other
