NOM-003-SCFI-2014

Electrical Products – Safety Specifications.

Establishes the safety characteristics and specifications that electrical products imported or marketed within the national territory must meet, with the purpose of preventing danger to consumers and safeguarding their assets.

This applies to electrical products powered by public utility electricity, as well as other energy sources, such as batteries, accumulators, and self-generated energy, in alternating current and/or direct current, with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V in alternating current and up to 1500 V in direct current.

Specific rules:

• NMX-J-024-ANCE Applies to Edison-type screw-in lampholders, incandescent, fluorescent, and high-intensity discharge lampholders.
