DT-IFT-008-2015, Products. Radiocommunication systems using spread spectrum technology – Frequency-hopping radiocommunication equipment, using digital and hybrid modulation*, to operate in the 902 MHz-928 MHz, 2400 MHz-2483.5 MHz, and 5725 MHz-5850 MHz bands – Specifications and test methods.

Spread spectrum radiocommunication:

This is a radiocommunication technique that involves spreading information-containing signals over a much larger bandwidth than the bandwidth of the information signals themselves. Spread spectrum radiocommunication transmitters spread the information signal over the frequency band to be used by combining the information signal with pseudorandom codes known to the receiver, which the receiver uses in synchronization with the transmitter to recover the original information signal after transmission.

*Hybrid:

This is a spread-spectrum radio communication technique that uses a combination of frequency hopping and digital modulation to transmit a single information signal.

:

In the frequency bands covered by DT-IFT-008-2015, provided that when operating, they do not cause harmful interference to other authorized equipment or to the telecommunications networks and services of authorized services; and also provided that when operating, the equipment does not inhibit the existence and coexistence of the largest possible number of spread spectrum and digital modulation radiocommunication systems.

Applies to: Any device with frequency hopping (Bluetooth), digital modulation (Wi-Fi, Wireless Fidelity), and hybrid (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) connectivity.
